With over two decades of experience as a small animal veterinarian, I have dedicated my career to improving the quality of life for pets and the people who love them.

I have a special interest in pain management and strengthening, and as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner, I have advanced training and post-graduation qualifications in veterinary rehabilitation.

I help pet owners recognize the subtle signs of pain in their animals and take early, proactive steps to improve comfort and mobility.

I also have a strong interest in internal medicine, which provides unique insights into managing pets who may be experiencing mobility issues as a result of an underlying health issue relating to the aging process or hormonal (endocrine) disease.

By combining clinical experience with evidence-based rehabilitation, I aim to manage pain, build strength, and help pets enjoy happier, healthier, and more active lives.

PIPPA'S FHO JOURNEY
"Dr Fran provided clarity and reassurance during a turbulent time - Pippa had undergone a Femoral Head Ostectomy on her left hip at the age of 1 yr. Dr Fran was highly knowledgeable in preparing a treatment plan and modifying as necessary, based on Pippa's progress. I am absolutely certain that the regular hydro physio therapy sessions were key to Pippa's recovery, her patience and attention to detail was much appreciated throughout the entire. We returned (unfortunately!) for more sessions a year later following Pippa's surgery on her other hip, but with more confidence in the recovery journey. "

COSMO'S CRUCIATE JOURNEY
"When our dog Cosmo was initially misdiagnosed with a ruptured cruciate ligament by another clinic, without a thorough exam, we were left feeling unsure and anxious. Thankfully, we found Dr Fran, and everything changed.

Dr Fran took the time to truly assess Cosmo, confirming that the ligament hadn’t fully ruptured and created a detailed rehabilitation plan that included laser therapy, massage, physiotherapy, and hydrotherapy. Her calm, confident approach immediately put both us and Cosmo at ease—he absolutely fell in love with her!

The massage and laser therapy in particular made a huge difference in Cosmo’s recovery. Not only did they help manage discomfort, but they also played a big part in rebuilding his strength and mobility. Fran’s guidance gave us the tools and confidence to continue his rehab at home as well.

Two years later, Cosmo underwent a TPLO surgery, and thanks to the foundation we built with Fran’s support, he recovered beautifully. She’s not only an incredible vet but a compassionate and skilled practitioner who gave Cosmo the best possible start on his journey. We’re so grateful for everything she did for him."
